Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from An Ensemble Comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne, in church productions. It instilled in her a love for theatre.
Fischer was a theatre actress trained in her native country. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway drama Reasons to be Happy. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance in the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the co-star of Fischer) and her real life best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show is now extremely well-known and is now in the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey) The book tells her journey between St. Louis to Hollywood as a professional actress is detailed.
